TGN Remembers Bishop R. L. Livingston

TGN mourns the loss of its first broadcasting partner Bishop Robert L. Livingston of Buffalo, New York that made his earthly transition to Glory, February 16, 2022.

Robert Lee Livingston received the baptism of the Holy Spirit on March 10,1965 in his hometown, Buffalo, New York. It was a few years later that he answered the call of God on his life to preach the Word of God.

In 1969, after moving to Cleveland, Ohio he began the pursuit of growing in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, preaching the Gospel.

In 1971, he returned home to Buffalo and became employed by the General Motors Corporation. In June, 1973, Minister Livingston was ordained into Gospel Ministry.

In November 1987, Elder Livingston answered the call to assume the Pastoral office of the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church of Lackawanna, New York.

In July 2000, the Holy Spirit impressed upon Pastor Livingston that it was time to move to another dimension in the things of God where the Holy Spirit can have free course rather than strive in the midst of the traditions of men. On Sunday July 30,2000, the Lord gave birth to the New Life FGBC in the living room of Pastor Livingston's home in Buffalo, New York. The following Sunday the congregation marched into the sanctuary of the former Loguen Memorial AME Zion Church for the next 16 months. During which time as the congregation grew, obtained its 501(C) 3 status and started a Radio Broadcast on the Totally Gospel Radio Network.

In December 2001, 1662 Main Street was purchased (the former Crest Electronics building) and the church moved in as Greater New Life FGBC. After some time of refurbishing and remodeling this building, the mortgage was burned 5 years later.

Later the church re-incorporated as GREATER NEW LIFE CHURCH.

In 2007 Greater New Life aligned with the Kingdom Dominion Covenant Ministries Fellowship conference and Pastor Livingston was installed as Overseer of the Buffalo and Vicinity District. At the 2008 conference, Overseer Livingston was elevated into the Episcopacy and consecrated as State Bishop of New York. Bishop Livingston serving served as 1st Assistant Presiding Bishop of Kingdom Dominion Covenant Ministries Fellowship.

Additional and arrangement information will be forthcoming. Please continue to keep his wife Jewel and family in your prayers.
